The Cartel · Miami, FL

The Cartel.

A small operation cooking custom pickleball paddles, accessories, and lifestyle gear out of South Florida. Built for operatives who care about how their kit looks as much as how it plays.

01The Story

The Lab started where every good operation starts: too many paddles, not enough time, and one player who couldn't leave well enough alone. What began as wrapping grips and dialing in lead-tape recipes for a handful of friends turned into a waiting list. Then a brand. Then a syndicate.

The conceit (pickleball as contraband, paddles as smuggled goods, the player as operative) isn't just a bit. It's how we treat the work. Every paddle is one of one. Every cook starts with a working call. Every shipment is discrete, tracked, and personal. No mass-produced anything. No batch builds. No outsourced finishing in some warehouse three time zones away. Just hand work, signed and stamped, in a numbered box.

We're based in Miami because Miami is where the aesthetic lives. Neon, palm trees, ocean drive, the haze of a sunset over Biscayne Bay. That's the visual DNA. Vice without the crime. The look without the rap sheet.

02The Boss

[TBD: Founder name].

[TBD: short founder bio. 1-2 paragraphs about who runs the Lab, how they got into custom paddle work, what they want operatives to feel when a cookup lands at their door. Keep it tight and committed to the bit.]

The Crew

[TBD: who else works in the lab. If solo, say so: "I do the cooking, I do the smuggling, I send the signal." Operatives respond to transparency more than corporate fluff.]

03The Supply Line

Where the goods come from.

The Lab is tool-agnostic with strong opinions. We've tested the major paddle cores, faces, and grip materials over hundreds of cookups. Here's the supply line we currently run:

Cores & faces

[TBD: list of paddle core/face suppliers and why. E.g., "We source thermoformed carbon faces from [Supplier A], raw fiberglass from [Supplier B], polymer cores from [Supplier C]. Every face is hand-tested before it goes into a cookup."]

Grips & accessories

[TBD: list of grip / accessory suppliers, paint vendors, hardware. Whatever the founder actually uses.]

Where we won't go

[TBD: what the Lab refuses to do. E.g., "We don't ship knock-off paddle faces. We don't customize counterfeit paddles. We don't anonymize manufacturer marks. Honest contraband only."]

04Send a Signal
